Emma is partner at Confluence Tax with a focus on business development and marketing. Her background is in science journalism and digital marketing. She has responsibility for the Confluence Tax website – an ever-evolving project – and delivers the company's marketing, branding and digital content strategy. Chloe joined confluence tax in 2018, after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in accounting and finance. Within the Confluence Tax team Chloe is an assistant tax manager responsible for corporation tax, R&D tax credit claims, patent box calculations, VAT and personal tax returns. While studying for her degree she favoured the tax module so chose to follow a career in tax. Chloe is continuing her studies by completing the ACCA qualification.

Chris joined Confluence Tax in December 2018 and is now tax manager. He has completed Level 3 AAT and has previously worked as a financial controller and operations manager in the restaurant trade, following a spell in retail banking. Chris graduated from the Open University in 2008 with a BSc(Hons) in life sciences.

Zan joined Confluence Tax in 2018, after graduating with a MSc in finance and real estate and BSc (Hons) in accounting and finance. Within the team, Zan is assistant tax manager, with responsibility for corporation tax computations and EMI valuations. She is currently studying towards her ACCA.

Amanda joined Confluence Tax in 2020 as tax manager. She graduated from the University of the West of Scotland in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in accountancy. Amanda trained with PwC before running her own tax and accounting business for 10 years. She is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and is studying towards her CTA qualification.

Joshua is the team administrator for Confluence Tax, on a part-time basis, and joined in July 2020. With a background in administration, he assists the team with a huge array of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis. From formatting presentations to archiving essential documents, Joshua keeps the tax team on track.

After working as a biomedical research scientist for 10 years, Asma joined the world of financial services and became part of the Confluence Tax team in August this year. This followed a period of five years working as an R&D Tax and Grants Consultant. She joined the Confluence team as Tax Manager, giving corporate tax advice to businesses in the life sciences and technology sectors. This includes both the UK and International tax aspects for very large, large and small businesses.
